The Long Duration: Law and Revolution in Egypt, by Amr Shalakany
Amr Shalakany is associate professor of law at the American University in Cairo (AUC). He was previously Visiting Assistant Professor at Harvard Law School, he served as legal advisor to the PLO Negotiations Support Unit in Ramallah, and taught at Birzeit University. He writes and teaches in Islamic Law Reform, Egyptian Legal History, and Comparative Law.
